The German Design Award is one of the most prestigious design awards in the world and is a coveted symbol of excellence in design. The award is highly regarded not only in professional circles, but also by the general public. It is the material that makes the Conceptum Nature Edition truly special. A real wood coating conveys a sense of naturalness and sustainability. This applies equally to the spiral notepad and the hardcover and softcover versions of the notebook. The latter is extremely pliable, despite the wood coating on the cover. Likewise, the paper used for the inner pages, originating from sustainable forest sources, is a persuasive argument for consumers who like to shop ethically.

The award for the Conceptum Nature Edition is further confirmation that SIGEL always aspires to produce the best possible design. In 2019, the flexible office board system Meet up won this award.

The Iconic Award is an interior award that is only given to products that meet certain criteria. The SIGEL innovations convinced the internationally renowned jury according to the design-specific characteristics of design quality, ergonomics and degree of innovation, but also according to functional properties such as utility value, durability and safety. Due to its industry-specific focus on the interior, the Iconic Award 2020: Innovative Interior counts as one of the smaller design awards, but with its high international relevance it is considered a trend barometer. True to the motto "class instead of mass", 161 awards were presented this year from over 540 entries from a total of 20 countries.

Designers and manufacturers from around the world submit their products and an international panel of experts rate the submissions based on criteria such as degree of innovation, functionality, ergonomics, longevity and environmental friendliness.

In 2019 the jurors received 5,500 submissions. The coveted “Red Dot” award is an internationally renowned hallmark of outstanding design quality. SIGEL presented an exceptional new product: Meet up, the versatile, mobile complete board system. Meet up can be carried or rotated and pushed around in a stand, giving its users complete freedom when it comes to teamwork and organisation.

With just under 700 more submissions than in the previous year, the German Design Award continues to reinforce its significance among the many international design competitions.

Artverum received a “Special Mention” in the “Office Furniture” category for its outstanding design quality. The winning products include the classy stone-cut designs “Black Marble” and “Green Mineral”, the red boards in the practical 60 x 40 cm and 100 x 65 cm formats, along with the small, colourful C5 magnets. Other awards went to the “World Map” design board in its stylish stone look, the four classy metallic boards, the round and hexagonal boards, the Artverum mirror, the berry red boards and the coloured C20 magnets.

The Conceptum notebooks & planners received the commendation of “Nominee” in the “Books & Calendars” category. Once again, this shows that these black hardcover books with the popular Softwave surface are always well-received: the commendation went to the notebook in the practical tablet format, the 18-month planner and the weekly planner with the vertical layout. The hardcover planner “Colour” collection for 2017 with its fresh colours in a classy metallic finish was another recipient of the “Nominee” commendation. The jury also commended the softcover notebooks & planners for 2017, which come with the classy Softwave surface in elegant business shades.
